Distronic Plus Package: Includes sensor systems which monitor proximity to other traffic anywhere in the speed range from 0 to 200 km/h and applies the brakes as soon as the vehicle starts to get too close to the vehicle in front. If necessary, the vehicle will brake to a full stand still. BAS PLUS is triggered if the radar system detects a possible frontal collision. If BAS PLUS senses that insufficient braking force has been applied, the system adapts the strength of braking to the situation, in relation to the proximity of the vehicle in front.

Night View Assist: Includes illumination of the road with infrared headlamps whose light beam is invisible to the human eye. The scene monitored by the infrared camera is projected as a greyscale image onto an eight-inch multifunction display in the instrument cluster, allowing the driver to view the road in far greater detaill in the dark and react to hazards sooner.
